Discussion

After a cold finish to the month of November, the new month will feature some much milder weather conditions by early next week. November will no doubt end up as a below-normal month temperature-wise given the expected finish to the month and the current deficit in overall temperatures relative to normal. Yesterday’s low pressure system has moved quickly to the northeast out over the open Atlantic Ocean and now high pressure will build in from the center part of the nation. The high will control our weather into the weekend with dry, but cold conditions. Milder air will head into our region for the Sunday/Monday/Tuesday time period of next week, but then a cold front will swing through by mid-week. Elsewhere, the big weather story over the next several days will be out west as a series of Pacific Ocean storms will bring heavy rain from California to the Pacific Northwest with absolutely insane rainfall amounts possible across northern California on the order of 12-15 inches.
